Guide to your First Weeks on Campus

1Passport Verification

  • Verification of immigration documents by Admissions Office

  • Bring all immigration documents (i.e. your passport and I-20)

2PSU Student ID Card

  • Passport Verification must be completed before Student ID card can be obtained

  • Fill out Student Service Request Form and pay $15

3Class Registration

  • For the first quarter, new students must register in person at the PSU campus

  • From the second quarter and onwards, students can register online at Populi. Your username is your Student ID.

4New Student Orientation

  • Orientation is mandatory for all new students

  • Designed for new students to be familiarized with campus, policy, and staff

5Tuition and Fees

  • Cash, Credit / Debit Card (Visa & Master), Personal Check and Money Order are ACCEPTABLE

  • Must pay at least 1/3 of the tuition fee when you register for classes

  • Pay at campus, go to Finance Office

6Copy Locations

  • Outside of Front Office

  • Next to Computer Lab

  • View print code on Populi

8Get a Cell Phone—Typical phone carriers
9Driver’s License & Social Security Number (SSN)

  • Driver’s License: Check for detailed information at www.dmv.ca.gov

  • Social Security Number (SSN) : Ask for more information at Student Services Office.

10Transportation

  • The parking lot is across from the campus. (On Mariposa Ave.)

  • Get the validation ticket to pay $3.30 per entrance at Front Desk Office.
  • Metro Bus Pass Request Form is available at the Front Desk. Pay $10 for the first time.
11Postal Service

  • United States Post Office (USPS), UPS and FedEx Drop Box are located on the 1st floor at the back of the 3450 Wilshire building.
